Like a cross between ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and THE ROAD WARRIOR, though it pre-dates those two movies by decades. I'd recommend Lo...Zelazny is pretty fantastic. I'd recommend <i>Lord of Light</i>, or the <i>Amber</i> series if you're at all inclined to fantasy. His characters are almost always very flawed, even his protagonists, and he has a sense of psychological realism that is missing from a lot of his contemporary SF colleagues.Tulsenoreply@blogger.com
