Even though they're both set in the same place and time, in contrast to Shulman's work, Sleep in Thunder features characters with relationships in believable settings and who act in realistic ways. It's a cool little book, but it's in a weird niche, since it's basically a urban crime YA featuring a Latino hero. It's pretty exciting and I love seeing a more realistic take on the West Side Story setting. It's too bad it's not better known...suburbanbeatnikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15628494445950673866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4660994103025515363.post-61926889039219106072013-02-16T15:22:48.809-08:002013-02-16T15:22:48.809-08:00Is it just me, or is there a giant face in the sky...Is it just me, or is there a giant face in the sky on the cover?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
